The Yellow Wall-Paper is a short story that takes place in the late 1800’s about a woman who has a nervous condition. While having this condition she is confined to a room in a mansion for three months and her health is being monitored by her husband who is also her doctor. In this confined room she starts to become obsessed with the yellow wallpaper. As she tries to get a change of venue, her husband keeps telling her that she is right where she needs to be for her to have a good recovery. Each day spent in the room her mind wonders about the wallpaper and its images and each day the images become clearer. In the end she sees that it is a woman locked behind the wallpaper trying to get out.
